Rev. Travis Kleinschmidt was born and raised in the Champaign, IL area.  He attended the University of Illinois and received a B.A. in Economics.  He worked as a loan officer at a small town bank in Illinois before attending Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, IN.  He graduated in May 2008.  He was ordained into the office of the Holy Ministry on June 16, 2008 and installed as pastor of St. Jakobi Lutheran Church on June 22, 2008.

Pastor Kleinschmidt married Noel (nee Evenson) on July 31, 2004 and they have two sons, Joseph, who was born February, 2008, and Nolan who was born October, 2009
